HomeTHE PIXEL PITCH GUIDE

A little detail. A big difference.

Pixel pitch is the distance from one LED pixel to the next, measured in millimeters. Smaller spacing creates more pixels in the same display area.

COMMON VIEWING SCENARIOS

Start with the distance.

These pitches illustrate common conversations. They are not a product specification or a guarantee of suitability for your site.

2mm

Detail up close

Consider fine-pitch displays for boardrooms, reception areas and other interiors where people view detailed content nearby.

4mm

Across the room

Explore options for retail, menus, shared spaces and events where people stand farther from the display.

6mm

From the road

Discuss outdoor message centers with brightness and text sizes suited to a moving audience farther away.

Distance and content go together.

People reading detailed text or viewing a presentation from a few feet away need a different experience from drivers reading a short roadside message. Share both the viewing distance and the content you expect to display.

Resolution also depends on size.

A physically larger display at the same pitch contains more pixels. Compare the complete display dimensions and resolution, rather than treating a pitch number as the entire specification.

Brightness is a separate choice.

Sunlight, indoor lighting and the time of day affect visibility. A smaller pitch does not by itself make a screen brighter or suitable for outdoor use.

Plan beyond the pixels.

Mounting, power, control systems, service access and site requirements also shape the project. Choose the display as part of a complete installation plan.
